THE DESIGN PROCESS
With the combination of creative design and proper execution, your landscape can be transformed into a unique retreat that reflects your personal style and enhances your entire property. Let Iowa Outdoor Products' experienced staff of designers guide you through the design process - from initial concept through final implementation.

Step One | Consultation

During this on-site meeting, your designer will take measurements of the property and talk with you about initial concepts for design. ​

Step Two | Conceptual Design

Your designer begins creating your unique landscape design.​

Step Three | Drafting and Estimating
-
Every landscape design is drafted and labeled by hand, and includes an itemized cost estimate. We can also separate the design into phases to stay within any budget.​

Step Four | Presentation

Set up by appointment, either at your home or our office, your designer will thoroughly explain the plan, estimate and materials involved in making the concept a reality.

Step Five | Schedule & Construction

Once your plan has been approved, it's time to put your project on the schedule and bring the design to life!​

Step Six | Investment Maintenance​​

Let our maintenance team build a package to protect your new investment year-round.​

DESIGN AND CONSULTATION INFORMATION
Our detailed designs are complimentary if you choose to team with our expert installation crews. Upon presentation of your design and estimate, you may choose to either sign a contract with us (design fees are waived), or purchase your design plan for a starting fee of $250. If you purchase the plan and later decide to use our installation services, we will credit your design fee on your final invoice.
*For large scale master plans, the exact fee will be determined by your designer upon further conversation.
If you are interested in our designers coming out and providing you with a consultation on projects you have in mind, our cost for travel is as follows: (to be paid before or upon arrival via check, cash or by phone)

$150: Adel, Altoona, Ankeny, Bondurant, Booneville, Carlisle, Clive, Dallas Center, Des Moines, Grimes, Johnston, Norwalk, Polk City, Pleasant Hill, Runnells, Saylor Township, Urbandale, Waukee, West Des Moines

$175: ​Ames, Boone, Indianola, Nevada, Newton, Panora, Stuart, Winterset.
**Fees apply to surrounding areas of same distance (30-40 minutes from shop)

$225: Creston, Knoxville, Marshalltown, Osceola, Pella
**Fees apply to surrounding areas of same distance (40-60 minutes from shop)

$250: Atlantic, Carroll, Chariton, Clear Lake, Fort Dodge, Grinnell, Mason City, Oskaloosa
